Motorists using the roads surrounding the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, including travelers to and from the airport may soon find relief as the NAIA Expressway project will be opened to the public starting September 22.
The skyway will connect Terminals 1 and 2 to southern portions of Metro Manila, including the Mall of Asia, the PAGCOR Entertainment City, and the Cavite Expressway.
According to Alec Cruz, motorists will have to pay P35 to gain end-to-end access to the two-kilometer skyway; they will publish the toll rates very soon.
According to the Department of Public Works and Highways data, around 80,000 people daily will benefit the NAIA Expressway.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said the second segment is expected to be completed by December. It will connect the rest of NAIA Expressway to Terminal 3.
